Recording work began with a bang last week at Abbey Road’s iconic Studio 2. We’ve started work on Pete Smith’s new symphonic Pink Floyd project with Peter Scholes’s massive orchestration (played by the Orion orchestra) of Shine On You Crazy Diamond as the centrepiece amongst other works from the group’s catalogue including Eclipse from DSOFTM and Wish You Were Here. With my production/supervising hat on I’m looking forward to seeing how the project develops. Additional song recordings, overdubs and post-production work will continue over the forthcoming months.
